The ZP Network is a podcast network initially started by me, Bob Zerull, managing editor of Zoiks! Online as well as a contributor. I have interviewed several artists including: Godsmack, Korn, Megadeth, Aerosmith, Metallica, Anthrax, Black Label Society, Alter Bridge, Theory of a Deadman, Tesla, Puddle of Mudd, Buckcherry, Sevendust etc etc. I was growing frustrated with my role at Zoiks! Online and becoming better friends with Corey Fineran from the Ivy Envy Podcast and I really wanted to expand the Zoiks! brand to a podcast.

With the help of Corey I purchased a bunch of equipment and decided it to give it a show. There were a couple attempts at starting a podcasts but none of them made it very far before a former Zoiks! Online collaborator and Professional Film Critic Sean Patrick and I got into a friendly debate about the “Dark Knight Rises” on Facebook. He suggested we start a movie debate podcast. That show was called I Hate Critics. It was a joke about how nobody seemed impressed that Sean was a film critic, in fact whenever he would tell someone he was a film critic they’d often respond with I Hate Critics. On a weekly basis Sean and I would get together and talk about movies and invite guests on to help host. Eventually we kept inviting Josh Adams on and before you knew Josh was an equal partner in the podcast. We’ve since upgraded the name to Everyone is a Critic Movie Review Podcast and are over 300 episodes in. From here the ZPNetwork was born (Zerull, Patrick)

Since the inception of the Everyone is a Critic Movie Review Podcast I have added the Nothing Shocking Podcast with cohost Eric Nesbit. Finally I had an outlet to bring those music interviews out in podcast form. Initially I was just going to help Eric start his own podcast and help produce it but before you know Eric and I were over 100 episodes in. We’ve had a wide range of talent on the podcast including many of the bands mentioned above as well as many more.

Since then Sean has started two other podcasts. Regeneration: A Drunk Doctor Who Podcast and Three Songs.

Thanks for checking us out,

Bob Zerull
