Critics Hath No Fury

0

Thanks for listening to the I Hate Critics Podcast. This week we take on five new movies. The big movie this week is Brad Pitt and “Fury.” Josh and Sean both like it, but more on a graphic novel level than a war movie level, but Josh finally gets on the board in our fantasy game. The best movie of the weekend is the Guillermo del Toro produced kids movie “Book of Life.” Hopefully this movie can stick around during Oscar season.

“Best of Me” based on a Nicolas Sparks book is so bad Sean loves it. Jason Retiman’s “Men, Women, and Children” is actually pretty good. Sean was floored by it. Then there is a Christian movie with the cast of “Night Court” called “Matter of Faith.”

Our Defend It movie is “Summer of Sam.” Sean defends this against other critics. Josh and Bob for the most part watch it for the first time. Josh loved it and Bob just liked it.

In 1984 there are some forgettable movies and “The Razor’s Edge” with Bill Murray

Godzilla’s Tears in Heaven

Welcome to the I Hate Critics Movie Review Podcast. This week the mighty “Godzilla” came out. Prior to the film coming out Bob and Josh were stoked to see it, but Sean was hesitant. Now that we’ve all seen it Bob and Sean loved and Josh is hesitant to say he liked it. “Million Dollar Arm” came out this week as well. Sean says Disney should stop making sports movies…unless Kurt Russell is in them.

Our Undisputed Classic is “Rashomon.” it’s a ground breaking movie in that it is one of the first Japanese films to infiltrate western culture. Both Josh and Sean loved it.

This week in 1984 “Finder’s Keeper” and “Making the Grade” came out.
