This week we’ve got three new movies this week, No Escape, We Are Friends, Diary of a Teenage Girl. No Escape and We Are Friends are kind of let downs. No Escape is a movie where you just really never believe the main characters are in danger, but you’re supposed to…i.e. the main characters don’t die, you know they’re not gonna die but your supposed to be scared for them…it’s a let down. We Are Friends is ok, but Wes Bentley is so good in the movie that whenever he’s not on the screen you just want more Wes Bentley and since he’s a small character you spend most of the time wishing he were there which is not good for this movie.

EVERYBODY GO SEE DIARY OF A TEENAGE GIRL NOW. It’s a master piece of a movie and that really everybody should see. That said it’s borderline NC-17 and really uncomfortable…but it’s powerful

Welcome to the I Hate Critics Movie Review Podcast. This week we only get one new movie and it’s the prequel sequel of “Planet of The Apes” and “Rise of the Planet of the Apes.” Both Josh and Sean are fans of the “Apes” series about both Sean and Josh enjoyed this movie. We also talk about “Spring Breakers” and “Afflicted.”

This weeks “Undisputed Classic” was “Blue Velvet.” Josh picked it and wasn’t as fond of it as Sean and I were. It’s not the most fun movie to watch, but it is insanely artistic and well thought out. At the very least I feel like you have to respect it.

In 1984 “The Last Star Fighter” came out. For a movie that time seems to have forgotten, it plays a big role in both Josh and my life…for very different reasons.

I Hate Critics Ep. 20 – Star Trek: Into Darkness

Welcome to the I Hate Critics Podcast, a movie podcast. This week Star Trek came out…need I say more. Iron Man has been knocked out of the number one box office spot in it’s third week of release. Bob didn’t see it, instead he stayed home and watched The Texas Chainsaw Massacre sequel to the original not the remakes…if that makes any sense. He should have gone to Star Trek: Into Darkness
