Bridge of Spies Gives Sean Goosebumps

0

This week we’ve got three new movies. Goosebumps won the weekend but it could’ve been better. Guillermo Del Toro disappoints with Crimson Peak. It’s good, but should’ve been great. Then there was Steve Spielberg’s Bridge of Spies. It was far and away the best movie of the weekend. Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg are on their way to Academy Award nominations.

Top Five this week Steven Spielberg movies. We talk Shindler’s List, Jaws, Jurassic Park, E.T., Minority Report, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Close Encounters of the Third Kind and Saving Private Ryan.

Rather than an Undisputed Classic we decided to challenge ourselves by checking out a Steven Spielberg film we hadn’t seen which included Duel, Munich and The Terminal…Sean’s seen The Terminal but he doesn’t like it so we made him watch it again.

In 1985 we take on The Stuff and Reanimator

Our trailers this week are:

Welcome to the I Hate Critics Movie Review Podcast.

It’s award season and the holiday season so a shit ton of movies came out. “The Interview” was the one we were all talking about and it sort of came out…on demand. “Unbroken” surprised the box office and may have injected some new life into itself. The “imitation Game” is a solid movie that would be better if it didn’t have so much hype behind it. “Into the Woods” flat out sucks and might be one of the worst movies of the year. “Big Eyes” is a solid effort by Tim Burton and “The Gambler” is a good movie that everybody has forgotten about.

This week Sean Defends his love for the Academy Award Winning “Chicago” which doesn’t really make sense but Josh and I don’t like musicals so we made him do it.

1984 – Nothing of note
