This week we’ve got two new movies this week. He Named me Malala is a great documentary by David Guggenheim about the insanely brave Malala. Pan also came out but nobody seemed to notice. I’m not even sure the filmmakers realized they were making a movie. It is however Hugh Jackman’s birthday so Happy Birthday Hugh, here’s the biggest bomb of your career.
Rather than an Undisputed Classic we decided to challenge ourselves by checking out a Hugh Jackman film we hadn’t seen which included Prisoners, X-Men: Days of Future Past and Fountain.
In 1985 we take on Sliver Bullet & Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins
Our trailers this week are:
Pride and Prejudice and Zombies
Welcome to The I Hate Critics Movie Review Podcast. There are four new movies in theaters this week. Of course there is the blockbuster “Paul Blart 2” which both Sean and Josh seemed to enjoy enough. Then there was what appeared to be a disappointment with “Unfriended” but actually had some style and was fairly impressive. James Franco and Jonah Hill got together for the disappointing “True Story.” However the best movie of the week was one nobody saw called “While We’re Young.”
Our fantasy movies (if you don’t know what I’m talking about go back and listen to the episode “Furious 7) got a more interesting in that Sean now has a movie on the board while “Furious 7” neared the $300 million mark.
Our Defend It film is the rated R mall cop movie “Observe and Report.” Josh has never been a big Seth Rogen fan but even he could appreciate the genius that is “Observe and Report.”
In 1985 was a waste of a segment because nothing of note came out.
Star Wars The Force Awakens
Batman vs Superman the Dawn of Justice
Love & Mercy
