Welcome to this weeks episode of the I Hate Critics Podcast. This week we have four theatrical movies. Zootopia won the weekend and pissed Josh off. London Has Fallen and The Other Side of the Door pissed Sean off. Then Whiskey Tango Foxtrot salvaged the weekend.

Ant-Man & Trainwreck

On this episode of I Hate Critics we’ve got two new movies: Ant-Man came out this week opposite Trainwreck, Minions, Jurassic World, Inside Out. It still managed to bring in $60 million which people are saying is good bad, but really it’s pretty good. It’s not Guardians of the Galaxy, but who would really complain about a $60 million opening. The other movie to come out was the Amy Schumer/Judd Apatow vehicle Trainwreck. Ant-Man was fine, but Trainwreck is the best comedy of the year so far. If you’re a fan of Amy Schumer and or Judd Apatow then Trainwreck is a must see.

Our Undisputed Classic is Breakfast at Tiffany’s. We spend the whole segment bad mouthing women who like this film. Breakfast at Tiffany’s is a highly racist film that we were unable to get into or understand why people like.

In 1985 The Coca Cola Kid starring Eric Roberts came out and we probably spent more time on this movie than any of the other movies.

Our trailers this week are:

Sisters
Suicide Squad
The Fantastic Four
The Revenant
Joy

Back to the Future Turns 30, Magic Mike XXL, Terminator Genisys

On this episode of I Hate Critics we’ve got three new movies: Magic Mike XXL, Terminator Genisys, Me & Earl & the Dying Girl. Both Sean and I loved Magic Mike XXL, it was a lot of fun. It kind of makes you want to be a male stripper. The joy they had making this movie comes back off the screen. Shelby and Beth were having fun as well. Me & Earl & the Dying Girl is completely awesome. It’s essentially The Fault in Our Stars done properly. Terminator Genisys is fun but that pisses Josh off because it should be more serious and not fun. I’m paraphrasing because Josh isn’t here to defend himself.

Backtothefuture

Our Undisputed Classic is Donnie Darko. In sticking with our time travel theme (not our male stripper theme) we went with Donnie Darko and it’s a movie that is just amazing and if you mix the book in with it is even better.

In 1985 Back to the Future came out. The biggest movie of 1985. $200 million in 1985, that’s amazing.

Our trailers this week are:

Jobs
Jenny’s Wedding
Snowden
Secret in their Eyes
Creed

Three Middle Aged Men Talk Insurgent

Welcome to The I Hate Critics Movie Review Podcast. We start the podcast off doing a recap of round two of our March Movie Madness tournament. In the news this week Joseph Gordon-Levitt will produce and star in a “Fraggle Rock” Movie. Chris Rock is penning a sequel to “Top Five.” South Korea is going to drop copies of “The Interview” into North Korea.

There’s a new “Divergent” movie out called “Insurgent.” As three thirty something year old males we hated it…well only Sean saw it but Josh and I have no interest in it. Josh is more interested in the next fan fiction story that’ll turn into the next mom sex book.

Sean insists that Sean Penn could kick my ass…he’s probably right. “The Gunman” is the new Sean Penn movie and it’s as Josh called it, a movie. If you’re going to the movie for Idris Elba, stay home, he’s in it for three movies. Then there is a religious movie called “Do You Believe” that Sean bought. It’s not the typical pandering piece of crap that keeps coming out every month. It’s an honest movie that is a little convenient, but it’s very cool about showing why somebody would have faith.

Our Undisputed Classic is the Robert Redford film “Three Days of the Condor.” This movie is a great, smart CIA thriller. It’s scary how accurate this movie ended up being. It is about as perfect as a CIA spy thriller can get.

1985 – The Last Dragon, Friday the 13th Part 5, Porky’s Revenge, and Baby Secret of the Lost Legend.
