The Hobbit 3: Electric Boogaloo

Welcome to the I Hate Critics Movie Review Podcast.

This week the terrorists won. The terrorist convinced Sony and several theater owners to pull the release of “The Interview” from our theaters this Christmas. It’s a disappointment. Then several indie theaters wanted to show “Team America: World Police” and Paramount pulled that so whatever. The Critics Choice Nominations were out. Josh and I poke fun of the award show and Sean doesn’t laugh.

“The Hobbit” is finally over so we never have to talk about that again…until they turn 30 years old. It won the weekend, but Josh and Sean disliked it. “Annie” came out and Sean thought it was a disaster. Then “Night at the Museum 3” came out and nobody noticed.

This week Sean asks us to Defend “Willow” but I asked Josh if it held up. It did for me, it did not for Josh. Then Josh went on to describe what was wrong with “Willow” and all he did was say awesome things about it.

Critics Hath No Fury

Thanks for listening to the I Hate Critics Podcast. This week we take on five new movies. The big movie this week is Brad Pitt and “Fury.” Josh and Sean both like it, but more on a graphic novel level than a war movie level, but Josh finally gets on the board in our fantasy game. The best movie of the weekend is the Guillermo del Toro produced kids movie “Book of Life.” Hopefully this movie can stick around during Oscar season.

“Best of Me” based on a Nicolas Sparks book is so bad Sean loves it. Jason Retiman’s “Men, Women, and Children” is actually pretty good. Sean was floored by it. Then there is a Christian movie with the cast of “Night Court” called “Matter of Faith.”

Our Defend It movie is “Summer of Sam.” Sean defends this against other critics. Josh and Bob for the most part watch it for the first time. Josh loved it and Bob just liked it.

In 1984 there are some forgettable movies and “The Razor’s Edge” with Bill Murray

I Hate Critics Ep. 27 – Grown Ups 2, Pacific Rim and Sharknado

Welcome to the I Hate Critics Podcast, a movie podcast. What do movie critics hate more than anything? Adam Sandler and tornados with sharks in them. What do idiot like Bob Zerull and this weeks guest Patrick Fineran (The Vampire Diaries Podcast) love more than anything? Tornados with sharks in them.

This week professional film critic Sean Patrick was truly upset that the movie Grown Ups 2 was made and even more upset that people went to see it. He was really bothered by the low brow humor. So Bob and this weeks guest filled the podcast with low brow humor…sorry Sean.
