Welcome to the I Hate Critics Movie Review Podcast. This week there is only one new movie so we take a look back and celebrate the great movies of 2014.
We each list our top 10 movies of 2014. Among the movies mentioned “Gone Girl,” “Inherent Vice,” “Enemy,” “Under The Skin,” “A Most Violent Year,” “Chef,” “Foxcatcher,” “American Sniper,” “Birdman,” “Selma,” “Boyhood” and several more.
The new movie is Woman in Black 2, but it’s not very good and we don’t get into it until very late in the podcast.
Our Undisputed Classic is Jules and Jim. It seems like a really cool movie. It really affected Sean more than Josh but both of them seemed to enjoy it. It seems to have influenced Quentin Tarantino.
1985 – “Hot Moves,” Tomboy,” and “Defense of Realm”

Welcome to the I Hate Critics Movie Review Podcast.
It’s award season and the holiday season so a shit ton of movies came out. “The Interview” was the one we were all talking about and it sort of came out…on demand. “Unbroken” surprised the box office and may have injected some new life into itself. The “imitation Game” is a solid movie that would be better if it didn’t have so much hype behind it. “Into the Woods” flat out sucks and might be one of the worst movies of the year. “Big Eyes” is a solid effort by Tim Burton and “The Gambler” is a good movie that everybody has forgotten about.
This week Sean Defends his love for the Academy Award Winning “Chicago” which doesn’t really make sense but Josh and I don’t like musicals so we made him do it.
1984 – Nothing of note

This week “Interstellar” and “Big Hero 6” came out. I kind of think it was a disappointing week in a way. Josh loved “Interstellar,” Sean had an appreciation for it but ultimately we weren’t the biggest fans. “Big Hero 6” was fine but it didn’t soar.
This week we defend “Prometheus” well Josh does, but Sean goes rouge and rips it to shreds.
1984 – “Paris, Texas,” “Nightmare on Elm Street,” “Silent Night Deadly Night”

Fantasy Movie Draft

Welcome to the I Hate Critics Podcast. This episode only one new movie came out and I don’t know why it came out so we had to scramble to fill time. Sean had been sitting on this idea of a Fantasy Movie Draft so we spend the first half of the podcast drafting movies for the fall and winter box office and award season, so be sure to check our Facebook page for results of that.
The movie that came out this week is called “The Identical” and it is perhaps one of the worst ideas I’ve ever heard. I don’t know how this movie was made let alone released…theatrically, but it was and you have to hear Sean praise this movie.
Because there was only one movie we doubled up on our segments and did a Does it Hold Up film with ‘Forrest Gump” and a Defend It film “Cabin Fever.” I (Bob) liked “Cabin Fever” but I was alone and we all despised “Forrest Gump”
