Hunger Games Mockingly Part 2

This week we’ve got several new movies. It’s Hunger Games week. While not as many people went to go see this movie it’s actually far and away the best of the series. It’s timing is perfect and it’s really well done. Spotlight is an incredible movie, one of the years best. Everybody in the movie is award worthy. The Secret in their Eyes is a little disappointing, but only because it could’ve been amazing. The Night Before is hilarious.

Top Five this week is journalists in the movies: We talk about Clark Kent, Alexander Knox, Billy Batson, Sweet Polly Purebred, The Paper, Broadcast News, Almost Famous, Anchorman, His Girl Friday, The Insider, Citizen Kane and more.

For our Undisputed Classic we take on Battle Royale

In 1985 White Knights

Our trailers this week are:

Zoolander 2

Triple 9

How to be Single

Gods of Egypt

Star Wars – Honest Trailer

The Martian and Sicario Two of the Years Best

This week we’ve got four new movies this week. The Martian, Sicario, The Walk and Hell and Back. The first three movies are fantastic. The Walk was released in IMAX only and it didn’t do very but it’s a fantastic film. We highly recommend checking it out. The Martian and Sicario also came out and they are two of the best films of the year so far. They’ll most likely be overlooked come award season which is unfortunate. Then there is Hell and Back which nobody knew about and Sean didn’t find funny.

Our Undisputed Classic is Solaris. Yes there are multiple Solaris films. We talk about the 1972 and the 2002 version and we had a really great conversation about these films and about Science Fiction in general.

In 1985 we take on Commando and Jagged Edge

Our trailers this week are:

Ip Man 3

The Revenant

Arm Touching Recommendation

This week we’ve got four new movies. Transporter Refueld came out and that is basically just an Audi commercial. A Walk in the Woods is essentially Grump Old Men 3. Dragon Blade wasn’t quite bad wasn’t quite good…I don’t really know what it is. It looks like it’s so bad it’s good, but that’s not the case it just kind of exists. Bloodsucking Bastards is a ton of fun and you can see it on demand right now….go do that.

Our Top Five this week is Robert Redford films which included All the Presidents Men, The Natural, Three Days of the Condor, Captain America The Winter’s Soldier, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, The Sting etc

Our Undisputed Classic ended up just being Netflix Challenge. Sean challenged us to pick a movie Netflix recommended to us. Those movies ended up being Hook, Skeleton Twins, and Comet.

In 1985 City Limits and Joshua Then and Now

Our trailers this week are:

The Night Before
The Lobster
The Danish Girl
