Welcome to the I Hate Critics Movie Review Podcast Bonus episode. We’ve got three and a half new movies this week. “Purge: Anarchy” won the weekend. “Planes: Fire & Rescue” did well but kind of sucks…but it could have been so good. Then there is “Sex Tape.” None of you went to see it. We were hoping to make some Cameron Diaz shoulder jokes but it bombed, but it’s not that bad. Then Josh saw “Begin Again.”
The ‘Do it Hold Up’ movie is “There’s Something About Mary.” Two out of three of us thinks it does, the other one never liked it.
In 1984 “Revenge of the Nerds” and “The Never Ending Story” came out
The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby
The One I Love
Big Hero 6
Welcome to the I Hate Critics Movie Review Podcast. Three new movies were released this Fourth of July weekend. Melissa McCarthy’s “Tammy” came out to a mixed reaction. Sean and I both enjoyed the film, however the trailers were selling us on a different movie then “Tammy” ended up being…oh well. “Deliver Us From Evil” turned out to be just another possession movie, but a fairly competent one. Finally “Earth to Echo” kind of missed with the whole found footage thing, but I’m sure kids will like it.
This weeks “Does it Hold Up” film is Paul Haggis’ “Crash.” This is my least favorite movie of all time. Both Sean and Josh initially praised this film. After rewatching the film they were both disappointed in themselves for initially liking the movie. They both did a good job of explaining why they were tricked. Seriously this movie is a giant piece of crap and it actually sucks more now than it did when I originally saw it.
