The Critics Are Wrong, Batman vs Superman Dawn of Justice is Good

Welcome to the I Hate Critics Movie Review Podcast. On this 194th episode of the podcast we talk about Batman vs Superman Dawn of Justice for the second time. We briefly talk about My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2, but then we move onto our third annual March Movie Madness tournament. This year we took sixteen movies, some of which were suggested by the audience and between the three of us decided which movies moved on to the next round. The only requirement was that we had to pick movies we’d never talked about on the podcast before…or at least movies we don’t remember talking about.

The movies were:

Citizen Kane vs Paths of Glory
Swingers vs Gross Pointe Blank
Good Will Hunting vs Punch Drunk Love
LA Confidential vs The Verdict
Fargo vs O’ Brother Where Art Thou
Glengarry Glen Ross vs Hard Candy
Waking Live vs Monsieur Lazhar
The Silence of the Lambs vs Phantasm

Let us know where we messed up.

Our Podcast is Crisis

This week we’ve got four new movies. It’s a bad week for movies. It’s Halloween weekend and the studios decided to release movies that could disappear quietly. Burnt, could have been ok, but it didn’t have much of a sense of humor. Our Brand is Crisis keeps pulling it’s punches which leaves us with just kind of a regular movie. Truth is a rather disappointing movie. The movie ends up being a movie that tries to prove George Bush lied. Well no shit and it’s just kind of a weak movie because of that. Bone Tomahawk is a pretty solid western horror film. it’s brutal, so brutal that I had to turn my head and you know what kind of sick movies I like.

Top Five this week is Political films. We talk about All the Presidents Men, Dr. Strangelove, Milk, Argo, An American President, The Contender, Primary Colors, Dave, Election, In the Loop, Mr. Smith Goes to Washington and more.

Our Undisputed Classic this week is Wag the Dog. A movie that is so ahead of it’s time while being behind the times. It’s funny, dark and so true. It’s a remarkable movie.

In 1985 we take on To Live and Die in LA, Nightmare on Elm Street 2, Death Wish 3

Our trailers this week are:

Ridiculous 6

Jane Got a Gun

Dan Verdeen

Dirty Grandpa

Josh is a Man on Fire

Welcome to the I Hate Critics Podcast. We watched two movies this week, Old Man Washington’s “The Equalizer,” and the family friendly “Box Trolls. “The Equalizer” over performed because it made more money than it’s worth and “The Box Trolls” under performed in that it was worth way more than it made.

This week Josh defends “Man on Fire” another Old Man Washington film. He loves the movies potential, Sean and I hate it because of it’s potential to be good.

In 1984 three some what small movies came out: “Heartbreakers,” Irreconcilable Differences,” “The Wild Life” which was written by Cameron Crowe

Jupiter Ascending
Big Hero 6
The Wedding Ringer
Pauly Shore Stands Alone
Honest Trailer – The Fault in Our Stars
