Out of the Hugh Jackman Cannon

0

This week we’ve got two new movies this week. He Named me Malala is a great documentary by David Guggenheim about the insanely brave Malala. Pan also came out but nobody seemed to notice. I’m not even sure the filmmakers realized they were making a movie. It is however Hugh Jackman’s birthday so Happy Birthday Hugh, here’s the biggest bomb of your career.

Rather than an Undisputed Classic we decided to challenge ourselves by checking out a Hugh Jackman film we hadn’t seen which included Prisoners, X-Men: Days of Future Past and Fountain.

In 1985 we take on Sliver Bullet & Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins

Our trailers this week are:

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies

Hail Ceasar

The Martian and Sicario Two of the Years Best

0

This week we’ve got four new movies this week. The Martian, Sicario, The Walk and Hell and Back. The first three movies are fantastic. The Walk was released in IMAX only and it didn’t do very but it’s a fantastic film. We highly recommend checking it out. The Martian and Sicario also came out and they are two of the best films of the year so far. They’ll most likely be overlooked come award season which is unfortunate. Then there is Hell and Back which nobody knew about and Sean didn’t find funny.

Our Undisputed Classic is Solaris. Yes there are multiple Solaris films. We talk about the 1972 and the 2002 version and we had a really great conversation about these films and about Science Fiction in general.

In 1985 we take on Commando and Jagged Edge

Our trailers this week are:

2013 Year in Review: The Wolf of Wall Street & Grudge Match

0

Welcome to The I Hate Critics 2013 year in review. First we’re going to talk about Justin Bieber’s “Believe.” It was dumb so we moved on to the highly anticipated “Grudge Match.” Sean liked it!!!! “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty” divides Sean and Josh. “The Wolf of Wall Street” pisses both Sean and Bob while Josh watched Keanu Reeve’s career flash before his eyes.

Prisoners is an Oscar Worthy Movie

0

Welcome to The I Hate Critics Movie Podcast. This week there two new movies out, Prisoners and the dance movie Battle of the Year. Sean liked Prisoners and thought that it’d hang around for award season. He didn’t understand why Battle of the Year was even made.

This weeks ‘Undisputed Classic’ is American Graffiti. Bob disputed it’s Classic status, while Sean disagreed whole heartedly

In this week in 1983 Eddie and The Cruisers and Educating Rita

I Hate Critics Ep. 25 – The Heat & White House Down

0

Welcome to the I Hate Critics Podcast, a movie podcast. The Heat and White House Down square off this week on I Hate Critics. The Heat is fun for all the right reasons, while White House Down is fun for some of the right reasons and even more fun for all the wrong reasons (Roland Emerich).

Bob gives several movies the sleep test this week: Stoker, The Call, American Mary and Axe Giant: The Wrath of Paul Bunyan. All the movies the passed the sleep test and he highly recommends all of them.
