Phantom of the Opera – A young soprano becomes the obsession of a horribly disfigured composer, who has plans for those who oppose him or the young singer.
Second Sight – John Larroquette is the head of a detective agency that is hired to find a missing person, probably kidnapped. They employ the help of a mystic/psychic to help find the missing girl.

Don’t Let Go – After a man’s family dies in what appears to be a murder, he gets a phone call from one of the dead, his niece. He’s not sure if she’s a ghost or if he’s going mad, but as it turns out, he’s not.
Midsommar Director’s Cut- A couple travels to Sweden to visit a rural hometown’s fabled mid-summer festival. What begins as an idyllic retreat quickly devolves into an increasingly violent and bizarre competition at the hands of a pagan cult.

Relentless – Two Los Angeles police detectives, cynical veteran Malloy and cocky rookie Dietz, hunt for a serial killer, an ex-cop named Taylor, whom randomly chooses his victims from a phone directory.
Cage – A GI in Vietnam saves his buddy’s life, but in the process is shot in the head. The injury results in brain damage to the point where he basically has a child’s brain in a (very large) man’s body. When they get out of the army the two open up a bar together, but some local gangsters make things tough for them after they refuse to take part in brutal “cage” matches where fighters battle to the point of serious injury and/or death.

This week we’ve got two new movies this week. He Named me Malala is a great documentary by David Guggenheim about the insanely brave Malala. Pan also came out but nobody seemed to notice. I’m not even sure the filmmakers realized they were making a movie. It is however Hugh Jackman’s birthday so Happy Birthday Hugh, here’s the biggest bomb of your career.
Rather than an Undisputed Classic we decided to challenge ourselves by checking out a Hugh Jackman film we hadn’t seen which included Prisoners, X-Men: Days of Future Past and Fountain.
