Die Hard (Bruce Willis, Alan Rickman): John McClane, officer of the NYPD, tries to save his wife Holly Gennaro and several others that were taken hostage by German terrorist Hans Gruber during a Christmas party at the Nakatomi Plaza in Los Angeles.

A Fish Called Wanda (Jamie Lee Curtis, John Cleese, Kevin Kline): In London, four very different people team up to commit armed robbery, then try to doublecross each other for the loot.

The Dead Pool (Clint Eastwood, Patricia Clarkson, Liam Neeson): Dirty Harry Callahan must stop a sick secret contest to murder local celebrities, which includes himself as a target.

Track 29 (Theresa Russell, Gary Oldman, Christopher Lloyd): A doctor’s wife tires of his obsession with model trains, and spends her days wondering about the son she gave up for adoption at birth. While eating at a roadside café, she encounters a British hitchhiker, who turns out to be her son. They spend time together trying to find a bond. The son begins to hate the husband, and the wife begins worrying about the safety of her husband and his train set.

It Takes Two (George Newbern, Leslie Hope): In Texas, the naive Travis Rogers quits his job to marry his beloved Stephanie “Stephi” Lawrence and work with his father-in-law.

Does “Crash” Still Suck?

0

Welcome to the I Hate Critics Movie Review Podcast. Three new movies were released this Fourth of July weekend. Melissa McCarthy’s “Tammy” came out to a mixed reaction. Sean and I both enjoyed the film, however the trailers were selling us on a different movie then “Tammy” ended up being…oh well. “Deliver Us From Evil” turned out to be just another possession movie, but a fairly competent one. Finally “Earth to Echo” kind of missed with the whole found footage thing, but I’m sure kids will like it.

This weeks “Does it Hold Up” film is Paul Haggis’ “Crash.” This is my least favorite movie of all time. Both Sean and Josh initially praised this film. After rewatching the film they were both disappointed in themselves for initially liking the movie. They both did a good job of explaining why they were tricked. Seriously this movie is a giant piece of crap and it actually sucks more now than it did when I originally saw it.

So…Yeah, Riddick was pretty good

0

Welcome to the I Hate Critics Movie Podcast. This week there was only one new movie to hit the theater and that was Riddick. I thought for sure this was going to be a short podcast, but we had four irrelevant conversations that caused the podcast to run a little long. I did cut one of the conversations, but the other three were so good I had to leave them in. We spent a good 20 minutes on Riddick before introducing our new segment ‘Undisputed Classics.’

This weeks ‘Undisputed and still reigning Classic’ is The Wild Bunch.

In this week in 1983 Revenge of the Ninja came out…in case you were wondering.

Josh Adams from The Film Fan Perspective joins us again. http://filmfanperspective.wordpress.com He saw Riddick and then derailed the show bad mouthing Ben Affleck, but it’s ok, if it wasn’t entertaining I’d have cut it.

I Hate Critics Ep. 12 – “Spring Breakers” “Admission” & “Olympus Has Fallen”

0

Welcome to the I Hate Critics Podcast, a movie podcast. “Spring Breakers” came out this weekend and for the most part, critics loved it. Tina Fey and Paul Rudd can do no wrong, but that doesn’t mean a movie starring them is good…it’s just not bad.

“Olympus Has Fallen” might be the dumbest most insulting movie ever.

Bob rented “This is 40” and Sean called it fat but really good. Sean introduced a new segment called thirty year old movie reviews. This week we checked out “Spring Break,” “The Outsiders” and “Bad Boys” (the one with Sean Penn).

I Hate Critics Ep. 3 – Broken City

0

Welcome to the “I Hate Critics” Podcast, a movie podcast. This week we discuss “Broken City.” In addition we take a look at the trailer for the upcoming film “Spring Breakers.” We both watched Sam Raimi’s 30 minute film that lead to the financing of “The Evil Dead” called “Within the Woods.” As always we talk about everything and get a little perverted.

Head over to our Facebook page and tell us who you like better Stallone or Schwarzenegger.

We don’t really hate critics, but why do you?
