Welcome to The I Hate Critics Movie Review Podcast. This week we have two new movies to talk about. There’s another Nicolas Sparks movie, which is basically his greatest hits. I was expecting Sean to be meaner to it. Instead he was meaner to “Woman in Gold.”

Ryan Reynolds is completely miscast in his role in “Woman in Gold.” I love that Ryan Reynolds is always trying to take roles outside the box, but when you do that it doesn’t always work. Not to mention that there is a lot of fat on this movie and would clearly work better as a documentary.

Don’t forget to pick which fantasy team to throw your support behind. Currently I’m in the lead with over $200,000,000 earned to Sean and Josn’s $0.

Our Undisputed Classic is the sappy “An Affair to Remember.” Josh was able to put himself in his parents or grand parents mind set and enjoy the film while I resisted that possibility and found myself bored. That said if I described the movie to you you’d think it’s pretty good.

In 1985 “Ladyhawke,” “Cat’s Eye,” “Girls Just Want to Have Fun,” and “Fraternity Vacation.” Now I love teen sex comedies more than most but “Fraternity Vacation” is just disgusting to me. The women in the movies don’t even have characters. They just show their boobs and then disappear. That doesn’t make the other movies I like ok, but this one is just too misogynist for me. It’s amazing Tim Robbins went on to have a career after this.

Neighbors is Hilarious and Babe Ruth is Over Rated

Welcome to The I Hate Critics Movie Review Podcast. Seth Rogen’s new movie “The Neighbors” was released, Josh and Sean went to see it and both said it’s a great start to the summer comedy season. They both all ranked it among Seth Rogen’s finest films which is exciting. Also released this week is “The Legends of Oz” which is nothing more than a cash grab…oh well.

ZZZZ

Our Undisputed Classic this week is “Chinatown.” “Chinatown” is truly one of the greatest films ever made, it’s incredible that both Josh and I had never seen it. Jack Nicholson is in top form.

In 1984 “The Natural,” “Fire Starter”

Cameron Diaz’s Shoulder

Welcome to The I Hate Critics Movie Review Podcast. This week Cameron Diaz, Leslie Mann and Kate Upton dethrone “Captain America 2” with “The Other Woman.” Both Sean and Josh turned their brains off and had a good time…I’m waiting for it to air on USA. Also The Raid 3: “Brick Mansion” came out, an attempt by the studio to cash in on a stars death. There was also this thing called “The Quiet Ones” that Sean really disliked…it was a found footage movie.

Our Undisputed Classic this week is “Midnight Express” with a surprise appearance by “The Shawshank Redemption.” I had never seen either of these movies and they’re both classics as far as I’m concerned but “Midnight Express” is a far superior movie.

In 1984 nothing of note came out
