Welcome to this weeks episode of the I Hate Critics Podcast where we do not talk about Star Wars. Instead we drove 3 hours to see Quentin Tarantino’s The Hateful Eight. Then we decided to record the podcast in the car…I apologize if the sound isn’t as good as it normally is. Obviously we talk about The Hateful Eight but we also take on Concussion, The Big Short, Joy, Sisters and I think that’s it. Ultimately it was a good week for movies.
Our Undisputed Classic this week is Pulp Fiction
In 1985 we take a look at The Color Purple, Out of Africa and Brazil

Throw Back Thursday
Welcome to the I Hate Critics movie podcast, a movie podcast greater than your average movie podcast. This week we talk about “Hunger Games: Catching Fire,” “Delivery Man” and “Inside Llewyn Davis.” The biggest movie of the weekend happens to be the worst movie of the weekend, but it’s not bad, it’s just a young adult story which means it has no balls and if you poke at it enough it falls apart. That said Jennifer Lawrence is on the verge of becoming a great actress and if for no other reason check it out to see her work.
“Delivery Man” is a solid Vince Vaughn film. I miss the days when he took more risks, but it could be worse, he could be Adam Sandler. Sean saw “Inside Llewyn Davis” and called it the perfect movie. Josh and i thought about ending him out of pure jealousy, but then we might never get to see it.
Our undisputed classic this week was “Oldboy.” Josh saw it twice. This weeks segment was my proudest moment in all of our podcasts. If you don’t leave that segment wanting…needing to see the original “Oldboy” then we’ve done something wrong. Josh missed a huge plot point in the movie that when he figured it out…which he does live on this podcast it all clicks and is a magical moment that we caught. You need to see this movie.
In 1983 “Terms of Endearment” began its reign as one of the most overrated films of all time while “Of Unknown Origin” took over Sean’s mind.
Our trailers this week our:
“Nymphomaniac”
“Sabotage”
“The Muppets Most Wanted”
“Best Night Ever”
“Need for Speed”
“Robocop”
“Raze”

Welcome to the I Hate Critics Podcast. We watched four new films this week. We start with Kevin Smith’s new film “Tusk.” We’re spilt 2 loving it to 1 not loving it. It’s one of our better conversations. Then there is “The Maze Runner,” “A Walk Among the Tombstones, & “This is Where I Leave You.”
Sticking with the Kevin Smith theme our “Does it Hold Up” film is “Chasing Amy.” It’s one of the best movies I have ever seen yet doesn’t get the credit it deserves.
In 1984 the Academy Award winning film “Amadeus” came out.
